No I think Starbucks was originally to bring people together over a hot cup of Joe. Now it is unpersonalized. You r either talking via Internet which is fine I guess if your love is 3000 miles away and you needed to get out of that NYC closet some people call an apt. Otherwise this should be like the friends style sit down and relax type of comfort zone.

Its not bad, its only good. It attracts customers with the incentive that they can have their favorite coffee/drink while getting work done. Also, if you're there for a long time, you are more likely to buy the biggest drink. The wireless service is catching on. Its at alot of Airports, Starbucks (and other coffee shops), and McDonalds.

No, no, no. when I go to Starbucks I go for coffee. I do not go and want to wait around for a seat while selfish people sit there for hours on end over one cup of coffee while on their computers.. I can never understand how the concept of cyercafes has caught on. OK if you havent got a computer of your own, fine, but as any sensible person knows, computers, food and drink DO NOT mix.
