The food itself doestn actually ever get there. Your body breaks it down first and then the protiens and such that are left go into your milk. So it depends on what it is you have eaten and how long your body takes to break it down.

It depends. Things that are soluble in water (like b vitamins, curry, garlic etc) get thru faster; other things with fat and protein that your body has to metabolize take more time. But it should be within that day.

When I was nursing, it took approx. 8 hours. I know for certain, because some foods would cause colic.

dont quote me on this but i think its 12-24 hrs your better off asking your midwife
