I was just watching the news and learned that they're going to give up on the search. How awful is it that the friends/family of the victims won't be able to have a proper funeral without their bodies?

You know I cant honestly say how i would feel. It is sad they are giving up but I do think it is a wise choice. Three lives have already been lost. As for the proper funeral they will not have the bodies as you said but you can still say good bye

No way to safely find the bodies since now they are definitely dead due to time in mine so I understand but still would be very depressed and upset.

I come from a Scottish mining family. Most people on here will have no comprehension how their loved ones will feel. My heart and soul is with them today.
