No, I am not a Big 10 fan. But I am willing to listen to reason since I am stuck living in Big 10 country now. It just seems to me they are a group of overrated teams with below average team speed. They only play each other, Patsies, one crappy PAC 10 team a year, or Notre Dame. They build up an undeserved ranking and get stomped in the BCS. I am willing to listen to serious answers as to why I am just being ignorant.

But Mr. Colonel, I would argue that many of the ranked teams the Big 10 play are either other over ranked Big 10 teams or an over ranked Notre Dame team.

There shouldn't be, and I've been a Big Ten fan for years.
Sorry, but the conference overall right now sucks. It did last year and it will again this year. You could take the best players from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue, make an All-Star team, and that squad would go 2-6 in the Sun Belt Conference.
As for the scheduling, it's atrocious that of the 44 non-conference games for Big Ten schools this year, only 8 will be played vs. schools in other BCS conferences. That's the same number as the number of Big Ten schools playing I-AA schools this year (only Iowa, Michigan State, and Penn State don't play I-AA's, and Penn State has no room to talk, playing Florida International, Buffalo, and Temple this year, who were a combined 3-33 last year). For the record, the 8 are: Illinois vs. Missouri, Syracuse at Illinois, Syracuse at Iowa, Oregon at Michigan, Pittsburgh at Michigan State, Duke at Northwestern, Ohio State at Washington, and Washington State at Wisconsin.
As for the bowl matchups, sorry, but the Colonel is wrong. Except for the Sun Bowl, which matches the Big Ten's #5 vs. the Pac Ten's #3, it's pretty much apples vs. apples. The Big Ten couldn't fill all of its bowl slots last year, and the ones it did fill it went 2-5. The "best" two teams in the conference got embarrassed by Florida and USC, and those were the ones idiots like Brent Mushmouthburger thought should have played each other, again, for the national title.
Right now, the Big Ten might be lucky to be the 4th best conference in the country, and there's a good argument to be made that the Big East might be better right now. It doesn't hold a candle to the SEC; both the Big XII and the Pac Ten are better through the middle of the conference, and the ACC is more competitive.

Well, we send more teams, on average, to bowl games at the end of the year. So, we may lose some of those bowl games, but remember Conference champs are playing our #5 and #6 conference teams.
I would not complain about our schedule to much, because Florida, Florida State and some other "big" schools will not play as many ranked teams compared to the Big 10. I look at some SEC schedules and they may have 1 or 2 tough games in my opinion.
Ranked teams are ranked teams...regardless of if they are or are not in the same conference. If they are in the same conference, then that just tells you how good the Big 10 is. We only play Notre Dame every so many years, so think want you want of the Irish.

No I here you. Believe me. I'm a Michigan fan and last year was such a letdown. Losing to OSU again and then getting trampled by the Trojans. And then having the Buckeyes get smashed by Florida in the Championship game. I guess we're ranked high more because of expectation and voters that are just ranking familiar schools. But it goes for other schools like Miami, Florida State, and Nebraska. Teams that people are just used to seeing in the top 25.

Well you are making a lame arguement. Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin are not overrated at all. Im not sure what conference your from, but not too many top teams play tough non-conference schedules. USC onll plays notre dame and nebraska. We'll see at the end of the season whos overrated

I think you are basing it on one season. Ohio State won a championship over a what everyone though was a superior Miami team. And in the bowl games most of the Big Ten teams have been very competitive in recent years.

Definitely accept as true with the ones three. The Sonics would possibly not get that many fanatics however the fanatics love them and the their former greats like once they confirmed gary payton at the massive monitor he acquired a status ovation for five mins. different groups are the lakers, Celtics, and the Hornets
