When I was about 16 or 17, WAY back in the 80s, there was a movie out called Shocking Asia. It had all these weird and freaky cultural practices like eating monkey brains and sex change operations. The freakiest thing was this festival all about a man's member (can't put it in here but you know what I mean, people). That was in Japan. There were parades and everything. The strangest thing I've ever seen.
I haven't seen it or heard of it since then. It's probably been banned in the US.
Addition: regarding the first answer about the old man in the thong - have seen that too - at Waikiki beach in Hawaii on my honeymoon. I took a picture! Wish I could share it!

A tornado in the dark. At first I thought I was just seeing things but the next day I was informed that there was a touchdown just along the highway I live on. It really did sound like a train and it looked like a blur getting bigger as the wind got faster.

The most recent thing I've seen is the damage the hospital I work at received during a flood last Friday. They said the damage is in the millions...first floor wiped out. It's also costing alot of people to miss alot of work.

Do you mean in real life? Or in a movie? Or a video clip or whatever?
In real life, probably the most shocking thing I ever saw was two boys having sex. I walked in on them while they were having sex. I was too young to know what sex was. It just looked very weird to me.
They asked me if I wanted to join them and thought that was just about the craziest thing. Why would any boy want to do that?

I saw a man on a motorcycle get hit by a car. He flew up in the air and landed in the street. I stopped to help and the man in the street was worried about the guy that hit him.
