You have 256MB of memory. I hope you've been using Windows 98 or Windows 2000 the most. lol. Even then a memory upgrade to 1GB will be a big improvement. However, if your PC only has 256MB of memory then I'm guessing that its a dated machine by today's standards (machines with 4-8 GB). Weigh the pros an cons of upgrading to 1GB of nemory vs purchasing a new, cheap computer. Given that you're contemplating a memory upgrade, I doubt that you need the latest and greatest machine on the market.

If you are going to do the upgrade I would suggest you buy a pair of matching 1GB chips, rather than keeping the older 512 installed.
Expect to pay about £50 per chip.
Visit the crucial website to check exactly what memory your pc will accept.
I personally wouldn't bother with online auction houses, you are not going to save all that much over a local PC builder

first see if ur motherboard supports 2gb ram and if it then see ur smps of how many watts it is. u must have something around 400watts. and sims 2 doesn't require more than 512mb ram and 128mb graphic card. check out whether u have installed latest driver for your graphic card.
