Well, I just bought a new pair of synergy's, and It's been hurting a little, but I have not felt hat I've had to relearn. I have had to adapt a little because I've been using a fairly high boot and the Easton is a little more low cut, so I can move my foot more. I'm getting used to that, but it's not that hard.

If you get them baked when you buy them (they put the boots in an oven to warm them up and then you put them on and they mold to your foot better) - they won't be as uncomfortable.

You have to learn the difference between skates. When I went from goalie skates to regular skates I had some issues getting used to the shorter and thinner blade as well as the different angle between the boot and the blade.

But in terms of learning all over? No. You'll only need to make adjustments.

The type and make is very important.

My opinion is Bauer 4000 or higher.
