So I can't buy all the fancy tools, or even the wood that I want. Just thought I'd vent my frustrations. If you have any ideas on the subject let me know.
Thanks.

I will not tell that it does not cost money to do woodworking, but I can maybe tell you some guidelines to help get you started. I get a lot of my wood FREE: as I go looking for wood from places like Dumpsters in back of Lowe's, Home Depot, remodeling work sites.(now I do not always get real good wood, but enough to make projects out of it.) As I made small projects, I sold a few (friends, neighbors) the money went to buy a cheap tool (from Flea Markets) and went from there. There are tons of free patterns on the net and I look at junk mail books and get ideas from them. It has been most enjoyable seeing that others like what I have made.

money is just a worthless piece of paper , but its an evidence for hard work. if there wasnt money life would have been better there wont be poverty or theft or crime, but again money didnt exist long time ago people used to trade , and the reason why people started using money because some people may not have had the things that other people wanted.

For tools, try some garage sales, people sell lots of tools at those and usually say so in the paper. you can find out where some sales are on your computer too.
You can get free wood at places that make pallets or other wood products, sometimes they,re listed in the paper too.
Hopes this helps, and have fun.

Check out construction sites for left over wood, especially in fancy neighborhoods. You can often get some nice wood and even some more exotic wood there.
Check out flea markets in your area. Also tools can be found very very cheap even including shipping at eBay!
