There are lots of great people on both sides of the fence, I consider myself in the Arlen Spector Joe Biden Joe Lieberman camp of Senators who sorta see a big picture overall and try and do whats best for America,

I do wish that we had better people running America.

I just wanted to know if I was alone.

As long as the media tears up good people's reputations and smears them - good candiates will choose to stay out.

See Colin Powell!

Your not alone on this one.. I think a lot of people wished we had better people in office. Look at what the Unity08 group is doing. To help stop the bipartisian bickering. They are a group one which I'm involved with that is trying to get a republican/democrat combo in the white house next election. check their whole story out http://www.unity08.com I think it's a great idea.

Why not mention Dennis who wants to make some changes .
Is he to honest and out spoken and unable to wheel and deal as needed to get anything done .

I know why people voted Bush both times . Money , Bush was the answer to the Clinton-- Base closing ,Budget slashing ,patriot christian ignoring president .

Some times you have to include voters rather then exclude them .

Getting blown in the White House was a no no .

i disagree with you totally. i dont think its a people issue. i think clearly its an eduction issue. my one wish for this system is that somehow, somewhere we could educate liberals in a time old adage, there aint no such thing as a free lunch. is this day of escalating gas prices and inflation, i get tired of confiscatgory tax rates, tax and spend policies and the popular( though incorrect) hillaryesque idea that this country wants and needs socialism. again, the people arent the issue, a reeduction on self reliance and conservatism is.

Obviously, you must be in the minority. It seems clear that the majority of people want the Kennedys, the Jeffersons, the Clintons, and locally people like Nagin running things.

I think the people must just like the drama.

Lots of people start off good when getting into politics. The more power you have, the more others will try and use you for their benifits. To get into power it takes a lot of money and powerful friends.

Media is power, Politics is power, People are just pawns, we have lost our powers.

So to answer your question, I wish good and HONEST people were in power.
