Ne0-con, Libertarian, Moderate, Conservative Democrat...Anyone willing to fess up to a label and explain why? I am probably a poorer version of a "latte liberal" who supports Obama. I want someone for President who inspires others to make this country better. How about you?

Fish and rice: why are you answering under questions if Politics are stupid? What kind of individual are you or you don't vote? Not one that does much for our country.

smwbugging...read his whole speech because I can tell you did not; you're taking it out of context. He's not trying to pull a Bush. Anyway...enough bickering...not the purpose of my question! :)

I love Mr. Smith Goes to Washington! I agree-someone like that would be fantastic. Too bad We can't have Mr. Stewart back to run!!

I'm a old school liberal Democrat. I support anyone willing to fund education, slash the military budget, universal medical coverage for all Americans, and keep a Woman's right to choose free, safe, and legal.
I hate organizations like the NRA, Right to Life, Army of God, KKK, or the GOP because they fundamentally want a segment of the human population to suffer for their benefit which I find offensive.
I was raised to value human beings and to avoid violent conflict of any kind; we have huge brains and complex languages why not talk things out?

I am very liberal on most issues. I believe the government should provide universal health care, free education, and have more control over what the president can and can't do now that Bush was president. I always side with Democrats.
Some people will vote for the Independent candidate that they like, but I don't see the point when someone has to win the election. Even if I don't like the Democrat or Republican, I won't vote for an Independent when I know they don't have a chance. It's the lesser of two evils.
I want a president who can bring the US back to a place of being revered as a generally good country by the world. We lost our reputation because we had Bush for 8 years. I want a person who will really create equal footing for those that have less money by making education cheaper and having government funded public health care for everyone.
I believe that religion should not play a role in what laws are passed. The Republican party has tried time and time again to pass laws that are based on morality, which not every American can agree with.
I do agree with Republicans on a woman's right to choose. I think abortion is wrong, the same way I think the death penalty is wrong. The Catholic church supports neither because they think we cannot intervene in life, and that is an opinion I share. I don't think we can end a fetus's life, and I don't think, however much of a monster they were, that we can end a prisoner's life either, for any reason.
I'm gay and I also agree with their stance on gay marriage. I do not believe two men or two women should be able to get married. I am NOT saying I don't think they should have the same rights as a married couple, but I do not think that the title is right. I may be gay, but I'm also Christian and it does have an affect on how I think. I've grown up believing men and women can get married, and I still find that to be true to me. However, if that means through allowing gay marriage, I will not object to it. I would not vote for it if I had the chance, but if it were passed, I would not disapprove. It's really up to the people that care more about it than I do.

I like Obama. I first saw him on Larry King Live last winter, and I was impressed with him and felt he could go far. But I don't believe he is qualified to be president. He doesn't have the experience.
I have a history of voting for Democrats, but that's more a product of there not being enough quality Republicans running since I've been old enough to vote. Currently, I believe that the Republicans have some serious candidates. I hope for a Romney/Huckabee ticket, personally.
I don't believe in abortion, except possibly in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother's life is in danger.
I don't believe the Fair Tax is fair. Poorer people will pay a much higher percentage of their income than rich people, who will most likely buy all their goods from outside the country. The middle class will still have to support the country, only this way there will be no guarantee that rich people will be forced to do their share. Free trade will become a rich person's ticket out of paying taxes at all.
I do believe that taxes are the price we pay for living in a civilized society, in the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes (a Republican, by the way). I also believe in free trade, which fosters democracy around the world and helps strengthen the forces of reform in countries such as China and North Korea.
I don't believe we should stay in Iraq. I do believe there must be measurable progress there before we leave, otherwise another despot like Saddam Hussein or President Ahmadenijab will take control of the region.
I don't believe in nation-building. I do believe that the United States has a moral imperative to intervene in cases where cruelty and despair are facts of life, such as Darfur and other regions of the world under the rule of warlords and corrupt regimes.
I don't believe in amnesty for illegal aliens, even in the case of couples who come here, have a child, and then claim that gives them the right to stay. Every case should be handled legally. If that means rounding up and deporting 20 million illegals, whether they're Mexican, European, Asian, or Canadian, then that's what we should do, even if it takes a hundred years to straighten it out.
I believe that the law is the law, until someone changes it.
What do you think that makes me?

I'm a radical moderate independent voter. Since WW2 there have been more Republican than Democrat presidents that I would have voted for.
But right now I don't see a Republican that I CAN vote for. I simply WON'T vote for Hilary. Kinda leaves Obama.
Having looked at the track record of people like Hilary, I'd say that a lack of experience (for Obama) is actually a GOOD thing !

I can't support Obama due to my support for the unborn, but I agree his style of leadership might be an improvement over other candidates. Oddly enough I like Ron Paul best on issues, but think his style isn't very good in terms of humility and considering the other side's point of view.
I'm an independent with approximately a Consistent Ethic philosophy ( see http://www.consistent-life.org ) with some revisions I think are needed for it to work.
If the "major" parties offer Hillary vs. Rudy next year, I think it will be proper to call them the "twin" parties. They agree on gay rights (to their credit), but also agree that the unborn have no rights, that an occasional innocent person's life is expendable for the sake of capital punishment, that free trade is ok without doing much to cause our trading partners to improve their labor rights so that our workers can compete fairly.... I don't see much disagreement between them on Iraq that will matter much by the time the next President takes office. What Ralph Nader said in 2000 will be even more true in 2008, "not a dimes worth of difference."
Maybe a Hillary vs. Rudy contest would benefit the Greens and other alternative parties since it would make so little difference which major party candidate loses more votes to alternative candidates.

I used to be a Republican, when it meant fiscal responsibility and doing the right thing for the long term. I was more a moderate, as I believe in a women's right to chose and caring for the poor.
I've voted Democrat since "W" and the Neo Con's have taken over.
Seems like the current Democrats are bunch of wussies.
I DEFINITELY would vote for Obama. But the stupid congress is the problem. They're all crooked.

Tree hugging, bleeding heart progressive liberal.
Because I don't think Government is a bad thing there are just bad Governments. Corporate America doesn't care about Americans and it's becuase greed corrupts and I don't think you can trust people to put lives before profit. That's why there are regulations to keep people safe from those who would rather make a buck than save a life.
I don't apologize. I support Edwards for President. The minimum wage sould be higher so Americans can work jobs that are currently being taken by illegals. Corporations and those making over 10 milliion a year should pay more in taxes (Warren Buffett says his taxes are too low). Unions are important. I also believe that the Government should not always go for the lowest bidder, doesn't work.
Our natural resources are important before we turn them into a commodity. We should protect our environment so future generations can enjoy and benefit from them. We should be allowing sustainable alternatives to cutting trees down for paper. We should be giving money to businesses so they can transition their businesses to these more sustainable products and give them tax breaks. Tax breaks are great, but they should be incentives to do the right thing.
We should also make it illegal to keep money from American companies in foreign banks so they can avoid paying taxes.
I think drugs, prostitution and any personal choices that don't hurt another person should be legal (libertarian in that respect). The death penalty is wrong, a life for a life doesn't make it right, it's still killing.
I also don't hate Republicans, I'm a Christian, married white with a child.

These online political tests define me as a left leaning libertarian. I reject any label on my views.
I'm just a middle class, working 2 jobs, middle-of-the-road American that's tired of watching her country, and the world crumbling at the hands of corrupt, corporate owned politicians whose sole concern is turning a profit regardless of the cost.
We need some "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" and "Katie for Congress" types to make some serious changes.
IF I have to chose, I'd vote for Gravel, Edwards, or Paul.

The kind who believes in honesty, integrity, sincerity and faith. The kind who would not invade a nation to "make my image". The kind who would not "leave most children behind". The kind who would look into the cameras and tell the truth. The kind who is not consumed with hatred, and the kind that cares about all, not just his "base". Do you think I am a Democrat or a Republican?
Here is a hint: I like the color of blood, which is dark red, but not in a political party.
