I have found that doctor's don't take women as serious as men. I have been told to just take tylenol, even when I am already taking more of them than I should. My hubby on the other hand can go and get whatever he needs, without the heckling.....

Wait...do you want to sue the physician you saw in the ER or your physician? Because really it was the ER that dropped the ball by taking 3 weeks to contact you. The only time I can imagine they would send you a letter rather than call is if the phone number they had on file for you was incorrect. Perhaps it would be good to call the hospital and find out why it took so long. Before you can sue you really need to make sure that someone was negligent. Why did your doctor tell you to get rid of your crutches? If you fractured your ankle, then you shouldn't be doing a whole lot of walking anyway even if it is on crutches. You need to give your body time to heal and 3 weeks after a fractured ankle is not a lot of time to expect that you'll be walking much. If he saw that you were doing too much and slowing your recuperation, he may very well have told you to stop using your crutches so that you would have to rest more. And what do you mean when you say he dropped you? That he discharged you as a patient? Need more info here but sorry about your troubles.

yeah i`m in a tough spot to i suffer from anxiety/depression, basically i puke if i get around more than 3-4 people even friends, i was going to the hospital for treatment, well to make a long story a bit shorter they got tired of having me apply for funding, and said they could no longer help me see a private physician, all the local doctors are not accepting any new patients, so i`d have to walk 15 miles to the next closest town to see a doctor, well my neighbors that do know me are afraid to give me a ride(they don`t want me to vomit in or on their car). i basically have no family so that`s no help, i get to live on about 100.00 a month after paying bills, i have no transportation so i can`t get their myself, this is where the depression really kicks in, it sucks i`ve always been their for others now when i need help all i get are excuse`s. i`m lucky to make it to the mailbox(50 ft away from my door) without leaving a puddle or two behind, and now social security is reevaluating my funding and i have no current medical reports to back up my claims. it`s very depressing all i can do is hope that things work out. when i first started going to the hospital shrink he treated me like i was joking, he could tell i was getting a bit pissed, so when he turned to write out a prescription i clapped my hands together right behind his head, it was funny, he almost jumped thru the wall, i said you keep asking me how i feel buddy thats exactly how i feel, i`m done playing games with you people. i get to walk 2 miles to get here puking the whole way by the time i do get here my throats feeling raw from vomiting, i get to sit in a crowded room for half an hour, feeling like **** and you act like i`m playing some game with you, not only that but i`m in your office for 5 minutes and you charge me 85.00$. my compassion for others is almost gone now, i could walk by an accident with people burning and i think i`d go get some marshmellows. i even called the depression hotline one day and got put on hold. only thing you can do is hope that things get better.

I spent twenty two years working in the medical field and don't anymore because I couldn't stand so many of my incompetent and uncaring co-workers! You need to find a doctor or healthcare professional who cares about you and listens without laughing or seeing humor in your pain. Ask your friends to recommend someone they like. I go to a nurse practitioner now and she's wonderful! If you do talk to a lawyer you need to tell all the details, with dates, in order, of what happened to you so I would suggest writing it all down first and then reading it over to make sure you got it all correctly. I wish you luck.

I had 'GOD' treat me for pain control at out local ER last Thursday night.

If you want a miracle performed. He is a little Parkistan, Indian Doctor. With a big, round belly that works at Rosebud Hospital on the Mornington Peninsula Austraila! HE KNOW'S IT ALL. And has ALL the answers. So he must be God!!!!

It does nothing but make my blood boil when as a medical professional myself, who goes out of my way to make sure everyone I come in contact with is comfortable, has an ear to speak to, has tissues, what they need, and comfort. As well as all the best medical treatment I can offer. Then along comes someone like you described and of course GOD himself, and I blow my stack.

I am putting in another official complaint as if I don't they will do nothing to change their attitudes. They certainly learn from a complaint put into Peninsula Health as the Nurse's in the ER made enough noise about one they had got the night before about neglict and abuse attitude.
And it wasn't just this GOD Doctor who was neglecting me, it was mainly the Nursing staff!!!! People who I have worked with. And I went there for help but ended up cracking it, escaping from the stretcher and putting my clothes on and then reporting the staff to the NUM just to get something minor done after being there for 7.5 hours. And that wasn't in waiting time. That was waiting to get the pain medication I was ordered when I first got there!

I could keep on going on, but my BP is rising again just thinking about it.
Don't let your Doctor get away with it. Pull him up on it. Make it more public, like you have done, and write to an Ombudsman about his negligence and lack of empathy. What a jerk!

Rave and vent on. I certainly feel much better as this is the second site that I have complained publicly about what really happened (too much for here) on that Thursday night. I hope one of them reads it!

I'd sue the quack and make sure they couldn't do that to anyone else again. Report this quack to all the agencies that license them in your state. Seek out the DA (District Attorney too), make a huge stink against this doctor. Tell everyone you know what happened to you and make sure others pass it along so no one goes to this quack. This is how to deal with them, play hard ball when they blow it royally.

Doctors don't know everything. They call it "practicing" for a reason. You are understandably angry, and yes, I have had this experience. It happened REPEATEDLY during my last pregnancy, which was very problematic. My baby had difficulty during and after the pregnancy. We did survive the "quack attack," however, and he is just fine these days.

The letters "M.D." after his name doesn't necessarily mean he knows what he's doing. You know what you call the guy who graduated last in his class in medical school? Doctor.
I would report him to your state's medical board immediately.
