You have identified a key difference between socialism and capitalism; sadly, the people who have signed onto socialism do not appreciate the value of freedom or the cost to have it; they care nothing for the spirit of Americans who sacrificed their lives in WW2.
Our forefathers would be appalled and ashamed of the people who are attempting to undermine our society-
trivializing marriage- with gay marriage
portraying faith as puritanism
shrieking like vampires in sunlight when exposed to patriotism- do you remember how liberals were scared and sickened when our country pulled together after 911 ?
attack on family- encouraging minorities and poor people to have children they can't afford and "one parent" families
The socialists who have infiltrated the democratic party and every selfish interest group, attack our faith, family, marriage and patriotism as a strategy to destroy the moral fabric of our society. Many, many liberals have no clue they are being manipulated and are simply lemmings, controlled by those who want to destroy the America our forefathers fought and sacrificed for us to enjoy the privilege of freedom!

Freedom.....and yes, as we know it today. With the rule of law still aimed mostly at the common folks. And the right to protect and defend our family, our beliefs and our Country.
Socialism is just another name for Communism. Sounds a bit prettier that is all. Remember the USSR...United Socialist Soviet Republic.........Communism....power to the STATE.

Most Americans can tell the different between Socialism and Communism. They think that Socialism and Communism are the same. Plus there are different types of Socialism. There is Christian socialism, Democratic socialism and social democracy. Socialsim has nothing to do with taking away freedom.
