What you see is what you get! It takes way too much energy to be a plastic person, and most folks like me lots because I am "me". I've worked hard for 56 years becoming the person I am, I made some horrible choices early on along the way, but I have become a better person for them.
I share with my students (I teach high school in Alternernative Ed) about becoming a young mom in my Senior year of high school, about being on the welfare rolls many years ago, and about a lousy choice I made in marrying a monster and how he impacted the lives of my five children and me so terribly!
My students respect me more for my honesty.
Never be ashamed of who you are, regardless of the past. I've come to the decision that if folks don't care for who I am, they have three other directions in which to walk away! Their loss, my gain, and my life is so fulfilled as a result!

Yes I am . I love being myself. I used to act like somebody I wasn't back in high school but as I grew older I realized that it is way to hard to act like somebody I am not. Sometimes I find that people tend to not agree with the way I am But that's just me!
