Don't get me wrong, of course I feel sympathy for Harry and William, but for God's sake, let it go.
Its been 10 years now, and to be honest, she wasn't as "sweet and innocent" as people seem to think. I met her on several occasions, and she was extremely arrogant, ignorant and rude!

RKO - You seem to be missing the point.
I'm not saying we should completely ignore her, but She's dead ffs, how much media time is being wasted when there are so many REAL newsworthy events going on. And i certainly DO NOT mean prats like Britney spears, Paris Hilton et al.
Diana may have done some good things in her time, but for the most part, it was pure attention seeking.

The only reason you still hear the mainstream media go on about her,is to disguise the real news and events that are unfolding everyday.Princess Diana was a member of the Royal family and while the entire UK population find it hard to make ends meet, the entire bloodline of the Royal Family gets richer and richer.
Real Journalism is dead and the Journalists who are doing the real Journalism are being murdered. We as civilians should be demanding all mainstream media to be following the code of ethics they signed up for. They work for us and yet it seems for many decades we are under their thumb. We see what they want us to see.Who cares if this woman is dead.By the end of this year nearly 700,000 children will have died in Africa from Malaria...the same average as end of 2006.Will that make the news..Course not..its distasteful.
The Royal Family are a second incarnation of the Vatican City and still the dopey UK civilians adore this abhorent and disgusting, ignorant and very very very rich family.
Its about time the entire population of the world coped on and realised why we are in this mess.

No I am totally exhausted by it too. I'm not a particular fan of Camilla either, but Diana was much more of a serial adulteress than she ever was. The press and public have lionised the 'image' of Diana to a nauseating degree, when in actual fact she was a very ordinary looking woman who had the advantage of being coiffed and dressed by the top professionals.( If she were alive today I reckon that she would be availing herself of some plastic surgery.) She courted the attention of the press when it suited her and then squealed when she'd had enough. Just feel a bit sorry for William and Harry but cannot understand why they are so accepting of Camilla.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Why waste precious media time on a person that did so much good for the world: visited the sick; visited AIDS-infested patients that no one else wanted to bother with; led the march against land mines; was a devoted mother; and used her fame to raise money for countless charities. Why, it would be like memorializing Mother Teresa, for God's sake!
Besides, Di was a bit of a tramp after splitting from stuffy old Charles.
Better the media focus on more important issues like Larry Craig trolling for toilet tricks, or Paris Hilton's drunk driving or Britney Spears' messed up life of sloth, avarice and selfishness. After all, that's what this world is all about:
All for One, ME!!! Why waste our time remembering someone who actually made a difference in this wanton world? -RKO- 09/01/07

I can understand why it is all over the media (i.e. they know they are going to make money from it!) and I can understand other people's interest in it, but she is dead and I wish they would let her rest in peace now. The memorial was for her sons to have their say and I quite understand that but unfortunately it brings out all those people wanting to make money from the Diana Gravy Train. It will calm down again soon, but then start up when the inquest into the crash is opened, then again when the verdict is announced. I just hope that some of Prince Harry's pleas for letting stuff go will be heeded.

No you're not. I'm sorry she died so young, but so do a lot of people. I could never stick her whilst she was alive. She spent all her time courting the press then complaining when they didn't print what she wanted. When she died I felt like I was in a foreign country, watching all these hysterical idiots making out she was some kind of saint. I've never been a great royalist, but I felt sorry for the queen who showed a lot of dignity in the face of those morons. Diana did nothing to change history, she was a shallow media creation. She died tragically and quite sordidly. It was a shame for the children, but she's dead now. Let those who loved her morn, those who didn't like her forget about her and the rest of us mind our own business and get lives.

I am tired of the continuing media circus surrounding Princess Diana even after ten years. There are far more important things transpiring in the world than having to delve back into the life of the Princess and trying to bring every sordid detail of her life to the masses. The media should leave her alone and let her lie in peace!

You have NEVER met Lady Diana. Your comments are highly offensive. People who DID meet her and the millions the world over who didn't but who were deeply touched and changed by her presence will never be 'sick' of remembering her. If YOU are 'sick' of it then don't watch shows about her on TV or read stuff about her in the media.

I agree 100% I thought she was no where near the angel she was made out to be . Felt a bit sick that time she was sat outside the Taj Mahal "contemplating" yeah right contemplating how much publicity she was getting from that particular PR stunt no doubt.

The media should let it rest, after all 10 years have gone by, it must be awful for her kids to see her face everytime they read a paper or switch the TV on
