I did this in high school, and I loved it; but I was really out going and an extrovert. I was also a straight-A student in high school and not challenged, so it helped me get ready for what was to come. If you are already having problems with time management in high school, then you need to focus on succeeding at this skill in high school. Furthermore, some college courses require some form of participation as a course requirement. If you are too intimidated to speak or participate in group work, I am not sure how you will fare.

I don't agree with whats going on down there or what happened at Jena High.
However, we all are responsible for our actions and as such should be held accountable. The people who hung the noose on the tree should be found and dealt with accordingly ( from what i gather, they don't know exactly who did it though)
Whoever hung the noose just heightened the hate that already exist amongst the people there.
Now for the gentleman that's in jail......he chose to beat and stomp another student to an almost unconscious state. how would you feel if that was your son he beat up that way? Yes, I think charging him with attempted murder is a bit excessive for a school fight.......but at the same token, anyone who was involved in beating and stomping that young man to such a state need SOME jail time to learn a lesson.
We ( as black people) can't keep going backwards. we can't keep using violence as a means of expression when others who hate us do horrible things like hang nooses from trees to spite us. Dr. Martin Luther King must be rolling over in his grave :-(

i am not in highs school yet but i am going to be next year. but i am planning to go to Banana Kelly high School in New York. i dont know why but it just sounded pretty good to me.
