i have a dell inspirion laptop and it will not come on ive tried plugging it to the battery charger that didnt work but the light on the side of laptop is on like the computer is on what can i do to get it to come on?

unplug it, take out the battery, wait about five minutes, put it back in, and then try turning it on....it'll turn on

You may need to take it to a repair shop.
Could be power controller, disk drive, video controller...

keep pressing the On button .. maybe it's in sleep mode or so ... then press it again .. It might work
