We had a light green, weave-like like hanging in the living room. In the 1960s, we had a pole lamp. Very popular then. Perhaps they are coming back.

We had a pole lamp, and later one of the first Lava Lamps. Remember the oil lamps, or some called rain lamps? I just got one.

Daisymae...I just bough a swag lamp at the jumble sale held for the school this past June. It is made out of 4 inch strips of copper looped and welded together in a very pleasing, complex design similar to what you would get using a spirograph. It looks really detailed and really beautiful, and I plan on using it as the lamp over my dining table when I have finished the renovations on my home.

I think it will fit in just fine with my beachy theme, because it looks very "crafty".

I have a pole lamp that my mother had. It sits over my rocking chair for reading. Table lamps are nice, but nothing like a light over your book as you rock and sip your iced tea.
I've seen many pole lamps (with the shade opening UP WARDS) on Freecycle.org but I've always been too late to get one.

I did not but my friend did. She had a gorgeous dark red swag lamp.

I believe a lot of the 60s stuff is returning. As my daughter says, retro stuff.
