I was just thinking, if everyone hates so many things about this country, the judicial system, the presidents in general, etc, don't you think we should try to change it? no fighting is really necessary, but we the people have the power. don't we?

I was thinking some new reformed system of democracy, one that wasn't so easily corrupted, but how could that be created? im not much for politics, but im glad most of you realize there's a problem. And elections are what i was talking about, we can only choose the lesser of two evils, we dont get to nominate who runs at all. basically we have a choice between two people who everyone will hate in two years regardless. i don't know, maybe im not informed enough, but it just seems to me someone, no, everyone, should get up and do something. including me... any suggestions?

You are correct, but there is no way for a revolution to take place.

Reason: I'd say at least 80% of Americans are thoroughly brainwashed, and while they know something stinks, they're not sure what it is, but they aren't interested in listening to what people are saying it is. If they aren't willing to act, then the revolution never gets off the ground. TPTB know this, which is why they just try to maintain the status quo and keep everyone confused.

Revolution will not happen until enough people get pissed off. And enough people won't get pissed off before it's too late to make a difference.

It's a problem of organization. If you could round up all the Americans who'd want revolution and put them in one place on the same day, maybe it'd make a difference. But such an event would never be allowed. Sad, but true.

We don't live under a democracy! How can it be a representative democracy when none of the representatives support their constituents? They only respond to special interest groups and never listen to the rank and file voters! This is a oligarchy that is controlled by corporate fascists! When they no longer respond or care about the people it's time to make some radical permanent changes! Those that are currently in office have to be removed immediately. They have to replaced with others that seek to serve the people instead of themselves. The question that is most important is what is the very best way to do this without anyone getting hurt in the process!

Yes.
Maybe we can "revolt" via:
1. Being more active.
2. challenging our school systems more
3. Voting more.
4. Protesting more
5. Lobbying more.
6. Getting into civic positions from City Council to White House
7. Using money to cut BIG Govt./
8. Scrap IRS & go Flat Tax.
BUT the Dem Status Quo & DC Mob Mindset blocks the path & those getting rich with the System AS IS.
Yes the System AS IS.

We the People do not have the power, because we do not want to get up and read the paper and head down to the voting booth. I have started my own political reform movement, i would recommend joining it. It is completely free of charge, i do not want your email, but recruiting new members is encouraged:

Make it clear that you listen to no belly-aching from people who do not put forth the effort to be an informed voter... and that you will cheerfully listen to informed voters belly-ache, even if they do not agree with you, provided they return the favor :)

The American government as I see it tries to keep the country divided for this very aspect. Ever since the Internet people have been getting a larger view of what is happening instead of getting their information from just CNN and FOX.

As long as the country is divided a revolution against the government will not happen unless it was through perhaps a vote.

How are you going to do better than a democratic system? It still gives the people the most power. You would have to come up with something way more appealing than democracy for the United States' people to consider rising up. Esp since we are all pretty lazy.

It is called Apathy. People would rather just let things go as they are than to 'start' something.
