Today, I read that Taliban received 20 mil in exchange for the South Korean hostages, and announced they will use the money to buy new weapons.

The question is, would it matter how much money they have, if there weren't weapon producers willing to sell them? Wouldn't it be more effective to cut the weapon sales at the source? These people don't produce weapons in Mars, they are all legitimate businesses in developed nations, aren't they?

All developed nations are against terror. So, why don't they stop weapon sales to terrorists?

I, too, wish I spoke French and German and post my questions in their sections. Even to me, asking in English sounds, sometimes, addressing only a bunch of people and ignoring the opinions of the rest. So, everybody may feel free to ask the same in different languages, in different sections.

Check out the news stories on how much weaponry has "disappeared" in Iraq.
I am afraid WE are providing weapons to terrorists, while our soldiers are fighting them.
So much for "Privatizing" the military.

I guess "oohbother" has really given a fantastic answer.

And as for your query as to why the developed nations don't stop weapon sale to the terrorists, it is because that Peace HURTS the defense business of these nations. And hits America to the severest.

So USA is really blinded by media, such questions prove how ignorants are the Americans,
during last 6 years , keeping 1000s of Al Qaeda & Taleban in detention at Guantanamo bay and dozens of US NAZI camps worldwide,US couldn't prove anything against Al Qaeda or Taleban , and yet these are stated as TERRORISTS,

6 year time is evry enough to prove saying of Taleban leader ( Mullah Umer Mujahid )
to USA (one week before the war) that " YOU CAN START THE WAR BUT YOU MAY NOT GET RID OF IT BY YOUR OWN WILL",

these wars of Afghanistan and Iraq USA can never never win EVEN BY USING NUKES ,
further USA is killing 100% innocents in the name of terrorists (for your information innocents also live outsid USA and Israel)

the original players of 911 will hopefully soon design an even bigger disaster to USA to provide more enemies to USA,

USA still have to find the original players of 911 .
