it's grammatically correct that "THIS'S" is short for "THIS IS" & it's correct literally too... but beware that most verbal conversation also denotes "THIS'S" as in short for "THIS HAS", but it's rarely the case though it happens.

Don't you mean the other way round?
However, there is no short form of "this is".
When someone speaks fast, perhaps it sounds like "this's".
