Idlewild - which sounds a bit German. Names of airports seldom give you a clue as to where you actually are. I don't know what it's called now, but the last time I landed at Calcutta, the airport was called 'Dum Dum' after the place where that nasty soft-nosed bullet was developed. The airport at Mumbai was 'Santa Cruz' referring back to the days when the area was Portuguese.
Schiphol doesn't immediately say the Netherlands.
I suppose it's OK if it happens to be your final destination, but it can be confusing when you're in transit.
