Is it evolution by sexual selection from now on in the western world? Do we start looking like the big headed alien pictures we see in books about evolution? And if so does that mean we are sexually attracted to aliens?

I believe the process of evolution has been taken over by science and technology, because changes happening in environment and conditions are being taken care of by us through short term solutions rather than leaving the nature to provide the long gestation solutions through natural evolution...... our self engineered evolution, however, may well turn out to be less beneficial in the long run since these are based on short-sighted and least-gestation approach.

I think it is narrow minded to say that human s won't evolve because of adaptation is necessary for survival it really depends on how this world changes. one thing for sure is humans will eventually be born without an appendix(organ used to help digest raw meat )because now the human appendix is a vestigial structure(we have it but it doesn't work) and that's normality the first sign of evolution vestigial structures forming and eventually dissipating

I think intelligence is becoming less important for survival, while sexual attraction is becoming more important. So, we can expect humanity to become more and more like Miss South Carolina.

Humans dont evolve simon. Even Charles Darwin believed in creation. Poor Charlie must be spinning in his grave to see how this modern world has taken his ideas on natural selection and warped it into something he had no belief in whatsoever.

FOR THOSE who gave me the thumbs down and dont believe me, go to the library and check out "The Origin of Species", by Charles Darwin, Mentor Edition 1958 p. 450
