This is well written, the feeling & intensity is palpable.

You have a conflaguration on your hands, my friend. Yet, it is a complexity you can navigate with the power of your mind.

Why? This is the primary question...WHY do you take such a stand against the "fall?" It is because of the risk of pain, even in it's name, the joy is unmasked as a "FALL in love." It is a chance you dare not take.

Besides, what honor to the memory of your burried friend could be served in a replacement, no matter how worthy that replacement may be?

Yet, it is time now for you to get into a quiet place. It is long past time that you should invoke the image of your dear friend. It is high time that you ask him...if it's Okay for you to go on with your life?

And once you've mustered the strength to do this, and see his image before your very eyes, I'll bet he's gonna' say, "What are you waiting for, it's about time. All I want is for you to be happy, not by holding on to the past, but by embracing...and falling...into the future."

Good luck, my friend.

PS: I know you're in San Francisco, but try not to be too liberal! (just kidding!)

Are you always this narcissistic? Is your emotion only real when you see it written on the screen and know that others will read it as well?
The only person I felt sorry for was the one whose dog died in his arms.
