I got Athlon X2 4200. When I run my favourite game (Everquest II) one of the cores is used in 100%, while the others is used in 0%. Why is the other core not being used? Is it possible to "move some load" from one core to the other?

Everquest II doesn't support a multi-threaded architecture. But this can be used to your advantage. If you minimize Everquest II you will have another core to run other operations, while the other controls the game. Plus this reduces the risk of lag.

I doubt it. It sounds like the game isn't multi-threaded. If it were then the threads would be shared out by the OS.

I've never tried it (though I suppose I could), but this sounds like what you were looking for:

There was another, command-line tool that could do the same thing, but I can't remember what it was.
