Just a co-incidence!! As someone abv me said that if the 20-20 wc started on the 11th then 13 days later the final could be held on a public holiday!!

no reason, its purely co-incidental.
also it was the most suitable date - so that 13 days later, the final could be held on 24 sept - heritage day in south africa (public holoiday)
