Math is like climbing a mountain. Yes it does give you headaches at times, but it's a challenge. The better your preparation, the smaller the challenge will seem.

Math is like any other subject.
A study was done on top professionals in different fields
to determine were they actually smarter than other people in there fields. To cut to the chase the top people were those that studied the hardest and invested the most time with there professions. The bottom line is people are not smarter they just invest more time in there studies like math.
If your dicourgaded by not knowing as you put what x+y=
you may want to back track a bit as math builds on learning
one thing the building on it.
It is simular to playing an instument - you listen to a guitarist and wonder how they got that good. Well they had to start like evry one else and learn start learning to play. The only difference is they practiced more to get to where the are. After listening to a classical guitarest a woman said to the the gutarest."i wish I could play like that"'The guitarest replyed that he gave his life for it .

Cheer up it`s not that bad!
Let x = 5 and y = 9
x + y becomes 5 + 9 = 14.
x + y = 14
Let x = 100 and y = 500
x + y becomes 100 + 500 = 600
x + y = 600
You can do it !!!
