Don't take this personally, but what exactly are they going to win with? They have an aging, injury-prone quarterback at the helm, a quarterback that's supposed to be their future leader that refuses to sign a contract, and an offense that seemingly can't move the ball forward. Sure, their defense is not bad, but you still need to score points to win, and they didn't do very much of that last season.
If they're fortunate the Raiders may squeeze out one or two more wins than they did last season, but that will still make them a 4-12 team. That's not likely to shut anyone up.

The Raiders are probably 2-3 years from competing again.
Their first pick this year looks like a bust.
They need to complete the defense (which was very good against the pass) by tightening up against the run in order to compete in their run oriented division.
Once this is done they need to build an offensive line with a quality free agent and their 1st two picks next year. Finally they can add a true franchise quarterback and a feature back and they will be back in the mix.

The Raiders will finish last in the AFC West, they don't have the firepower to overcome the Chargers, Broncos and Chiefs, they'll probably fight it out with Cleveland and Houston for the first overall pick in next years draft, they're a truly awful team.

Hats off to Al Davis to not giving into Russells greed. You guys have talent. But its undisciplined. Culpepper still has some life left too. San Diego is gonna win your division but if Lane Kiffin can get his talent in the right places a 10-6 finish isnt far fetched.

I have been a fan since 1969. Love this team and its history and some of the excitement of the past. I am hopeful they will return to the glory one day soon.

sorry. did u see all off the key off season departures they had. moss is gone. their defense is old. they hav no o-line. culpepper hasnt been culpepper since he was drafted. if u think lamont jordan is real running back guess again
on any other team he would be a second string. 4-6 wings at the max.

wow... u truly r a loser... exactly wen will these wins come? n who will they be against?? yea dats wut i thought da only chance they got at winnin is if they return da ball for a touchdown everytime they intercept it... its da only way they'll score points... so if u think da raiders will be good anytime soon... im sry to say dis but... they suck really bad!! maybe in 5-6 years they'll be a semi-good team again... they're pretty much da worst team in all of sports n im not even kiddin no team in any sport is this bad... their defense is da only thing goin fer them n defense isnt everythin... jus ask da jaguars (2nd best nfl defense last year) n da dolphins (4th best last year)... yea my point is is dat da raiders need to quit while they still can

i think it is so funny,, raiders fans swear every year that this is their year,, and they keep losing,,,their future q.b. is a wash for at least this year and they will go nowhere for a while and made a huge mistake drafting russel,,,
