I have the same challenge. It is true that you can accustom yourself to it, as I did it about 10 years ago for a couple of years. Unfortunately I let the habit slide again and am trying to resume it right now.
I find it hard to drink a lot of water at any time, but I find if I fill a sports bottle with water and continually sip at it throughout the day, I can get through a fair bit.
As for the taste - I go for diet cordial and try to make it weaker and weaker until ultimately I'm drinking water.
Good luck!

Try to go hiking in a country side and carry only a bottle of mineral water. Don't bring any kind of softdrinks, only water. After you perspire, am pretty sure you'll crave to drink water. If what I told is not effective for you, try walking in the desert like place and carry no other liquid for a drink except water. when the scorching heat of the sun comes, we'll see if you'll not crave for water.

Try getting some cordial (diet would work best, but the normal stuff is okay)- and just add a little to the water. Fruit
flavors, like orange and blackcurrent, of the barkers brand is quite good, as opposed to the more syrup-ish types that tend to taste artificial

Hey, I use to be like that.....One time I made a New Year's resolution to avoid soda and candy all year...Ever since than I've been drinking water I've found out that I didn't like soda anymore. Its been 5 years since I last drank any soda...Just drink water every now and than and you'll learn to enjoy it without even noticing it.....You should be drinking enough water so you urine is clear to light yellow...You should learn about the benifits of water and what dehydration can do to you...

Hmmm... That happens to me sometimes. My advise is just that you drink water even if you dont want to, you might actually find out that you are more thirsty than you really think.

working out does it everytime for me. Plus, if you stop drinking sugary stuff, or juices and just try water for a while your body will crave water instead of the other junk
