Maybe -- but one has very little to do with the other.
Communism is an economic model -- it's about who owns property. In this case, it's about total community (govt) ownership, with no private ownership allowed.
Fascism is a political model -- it's about who makes the rules, and what freedoms people have. In that case, it's total control, with almost no freedoms and no democratic input.
Communism can exist in any political model -- pure democracy, republic, monarchy, fascism, whatever.
Fascism can implement any economic model, though it works best with socialism, and fairly poorly with pure capitalism.

Most of the communist states the world has had the sorrow to know appear fascistic, as the fascists and the majority of communist states, are totalitarian.
Communism is an economic system, that's all. Fascism is much more than that. Totalitarianism is simply dictatorship by a few, rather than by one.

Neither communist nor fascist countries tend to allow for much free speech. However, in this country, even EXTREMISTS can declare whatever they like--including the foolishness that liberals are communists and conservatives are fascists, neither of which is true, but both of which sound dramatic and important, and score points with the more immature people who agreed with you in the first place.
Some simplistic people will even argue that citizens practicing our constitutional right to oversight are merely upset that things "aren't going our way."

Probably not since communism and fascism are pretty much complete opposites. Why don't you do a little research on the matter?

They are two extremes on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but yes, I believe a communist, socialist, democrat, liberal would say that.
