He plead guilty to one of the two charges -- the lesser offense of "disorderly conduct".

The other charge -- the more serious misdemeanor with the sexual misconduct elements -- was not included in the plea agreement, and was (I believe) dropped when he plead to the lesser charge.

he pled guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct..which was a reduced charge . The original charge was for solicititation of sex. He was caught in a sting at the Minneapolis airport, in a bathroom "tapping his right foot, which is code for the willingness to pay for sexual contact"

His hope was that if he pled guilty that this would all go away and no one would know what he did.

One thing he must have forgot is that he's under the constant scrutiny of the public eye and everything he does, someone wil find out.

The alleged crime was that he solicited a male undercover police officer for sex in a men's room of the Minneapolis airport. I said alleged crime because he has not been found guilty by the courts.

The senator plead guilty to a lesser crime of sexual misconduct (apparently peeking into the bathroom stall the police officer was in).
