It's a straight guy who takes care of himself and "pampers" himself like a stereotypical gay person or woman would.

And if I may inject my own comment here, I'd just like to say that it's a stupid label! I mean, what guy would NOT take care of himself? Who wants to look like ***? Lol

This is the dictionary definition of a metrosexual:

a usually urban heterosexual male given to enhancing his personal appearance by fastidious grooming, beauty treatments, and fashionable clothes

Some of the actors and celebrities are metrosexual in my opinion.

A Metrosexual is a straight guy who is into fashion. He knows how to take care of himself and his looks. He goes to a hair salon instead of a barber and he gets facials and manicures and pedicures and he loves to buy and wear designer clothes. Some people mistake Metrosexuals for gay guys but they're not gay at all. They just know how to look good.

Usually it's when someone straight acts gay.

However, my ex roommate dated someone who was metro and he ended up being gay.

So I've decided there is no such thing as metrosexual. Why act gay if you aren't?

It's a man who knows fashion, culture, arts and all the finer things in life. He is straight though and loves women to death. He is a gay man's ideal mate. And a woman's ideal husband. He's also someone who usually gets the question (behind his back, of course), "Is he gay?"
