I am german, pal. My family arrived in the USA around 1750. Does that make me a Nazi? I don't think so. But for those who live in Germany, probably that is true. But I think that if Hitler had come to power in the US, there would be many many of us who would have become people who did not oppose Hitler and the Nazis. It was the only way to stay alive.

The Nazi party ended in 45, so unless people stopped reproducing in the 50's in Germany, no. Not to mention not everyone was a Nazi sympathizer just becuase Hitler was in power. (just like how not everyone supports the president, or any president at any given time.)

The Nazis party was very popular during the war.
You have had years of reconditioning, and advertising to make you think it was 100% evil. If you said Hitler had a nice haircut, you would be called a Nazi sympathizer these days

The invasion of Iraq show what was once popular gets turned around in time

No -- it's not true.

In fact, the actual active members of the Nazi party was a very small percentage of the entire German population.

As for "sympathizers" and "people who didn't oppose" -- it's hard to not be considered a sympathizer when you get shot for publicly disagreeing with your govt -- so, it's unreasonable to blame people who only kept quiet out of a desire not to die.

Have you seen the German people lately. It is full of socialist/liberals! Far from Nazi sympathizers.

Blazin is right too. It's full of muslims, like most of Europe these days.

More importantly: is it relevant?

Is Naziism inherited?

I think not.
