Listen first!: Isn't the Devil the one that tortures BAD people who deserve it, therefore doing something GOOD and right? Wouldn't that be a good thing?

That is good but the devil also tries to corrupt the good people to make them bad people if you go by the mythology. You're thinking of Hades. He never actually corrupted people, he was just the ruler of the underworld. Someone had to do it.

Because God says so. That is the only explanation I can see. I am not a believer but I think the devil is used as a scape goat for every evil thing. The one thing I find funny is he is the one who most needed praying for. Has anyone ever prayed for his soul? Nope. He was the first one who fought for equal rights from a supreme dictator and he was cast to hell for it. If it was done today he would be compared to Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks, instead people say his name in hate. At the least we owe him an apology.

The Devil is king in an unforgiving and God-less place. You do the math.
he tortures the souls of those who helped promote his cause in life. He is bad, not because of what he does but what he wants to do...which is to destroy and enslave all humanity, not just the ones who were bad poeple...but everyone, including God himself.
