a. 2Ag + Cl2 >> 2AgCl
Molecular weight AgCl = 143.3 g/mol
84 g / 143.3 = 0.586 mole AgCl
the ratio between AgCl and Ag is 2 : 2
moles Ag needed for the reaction = 0.586
107.87 g/mol x 0.586 mol = 63.2 g of Ag

b. 2CO + O2 >> 2CO2
Molecular weight O2 = 32 g/mol
4.80 g / 32 = 0.15 mole O2
the ratio between CO and O2 is 2 : 1
2 : 1 = x : 0.15
x = 0.30 mole of CO
V = nRT / p = 0.30 x 0.0821 x 273 / 1 = 6.72 L

1) GMM of AgCl = 108+35.5 g = 143.5 g

Thus 84 g needs 143.5*84/108 = 111.61 g
