Yes.
I believe God was a real person.
But not that he created anything, or that when you pray, something good happens.
The meaning of life is to live life. Experiance every emotion, every joke. Treasure every moment, memory, and day that you live and love. There are some moments in life when you go downhill, but you know you will always be able to climb back up again, so dont waste your life away.

Then how can they put their faith into God? What does he stand for with them? I don't think they can, although I believe they could be confused about religions and which one is right. Ask this again in the Religion section. You'll find a smaller society of people there, and they might be able to help you answer this better. There's a lot of good people there. I'm a semi-regular in there. :)

Absolutely! In my faith, God actually doesn't dig religion. You see, you can be religeous about going to church, how many times a week, month, year, you attend, how much you volunteer, and still not have a relationship AT ALL with God! I recentlly heard the latest "sin" is the one of being too BUSY. Like, wow, what a great person they are, they work so hard, they're so honest, well, If in your heart your doing it for eyeservice to your peers, it means nothing to God. The religious zealots in Christs time are the very ones who ultimately brought an innocent Man who had committed no crime, to death.

Definitely. God is perfect. Religions are all man-made and therefore imperfect. Organized religions are what MEN created in order to honor God or worship God, and perhaps they started out beautifully, but many seem to have lost their way. Many churches, for example, are far too involved in affairs of state and politics and political issues instead of focusing on God.
Having said that, it could also be true that if you went on a church search and visited many different kinds, you could find one that was a good fit with you and that fulfilled your spiritual needs. Sometimes the religion we are given at birth by our parents doesn't work for us but another one might.

Definitely. I believe in God as the creator of all things but I but I don't believe that you have to give things up for lent or pray or read the bible or be baptized. Religion in my opinion is a lot of silly rules, and some highly religious people are the nastiest, most judgemental and greedy I have ever met. I think we are capable of setting our own standards for ourselves and we, not God, should take credit for our accomplishments and accountability for our failures.

Of course. If you believe in a higher power but don't necessarily feel there's 1 CORRECT way to worship them or don't feel the need to worship at all of course. I know I do. I believe in a god but I don't believe he is christian only, muslim only, Hindu only, or sikh only or any other religion. Do you think a god would care what religion you are? If they truly care for everyone then you don't need to worry about religion. I feel religion as a moral guidebook is good, as a identifier of who you are...TERRIBLE. Religion is the cause of more wars in the history of mankind than ANY other single thing.

Sure. According to history, "God" is actually derived from the sun....then turned into the 'son of god' by another religion. I suggest looking up the historical changes through the religions and seeing where the current Christians actually came up with their current beliefs.
