i'm going either going to a nursing school or a CC.

If you go to a community college, and either get an RN certificate or transfer to a bachelor's program, you do not need to take the SAT. If you go to a 4 year college and not as a transfer, you do need to take the SAT.

No you don't for CC, but for nursing then you do have to take the SAT. When I first took the SAT, my score was low in the mid 1700s but then I got the sat guide from TutorFox: http://www.tutorfox.com/satguide.html and my score went up to 2190 (800 math, 760 writing, 630 reading). I highly recommend this guide for anyone wishing to get a higher SAT score.
