No one else calls me that except for the men that are from India. They call me "dear" or "darling"...why?

From where I came from, that's also pretty common. It's just a way of calling people politely and sweetly.

Another common term used is "Beauty"...

These are the nearest equivalent words of affection in English, to the words with similar meaning in their native language.Indians by nature are friendly,affectionate,sharing and caring and considerate.Once the ice is broken,they treat most of their friends as an extension of their families.Try it and you would have a new but very pleasant experience.
