Probably for diabetics. And maybe because there is so much drug use they decided that for the ones that clean it would be the safest way.
Either explanation or maybe both could be why. But hey I don't know anything, and it is bedtime.

Probably so that people who have diabetes have somewhere safe to dispose of their insulin needles if they need to inject themselves with insulin at the airport.

I`ve also seen them in certain casinos. I think the main purpose is for diabetics who must take insulin several times a day, but who know what other purpose they serve. In any regard they`re a safety measure.

⺠I found out why.........I called the airport and they told me it was for people to dispose of diabetic syringes or any other type medication that they need to give self . @@@@@@@@@@@cool......................
