I've read your question and the answers you"ve gotten and I have to say that in my 52 yrs of experience the best pick up line or ice breaker or what ever ya want to call it has been something like this . I would ask her if she liked animals . All or most girls like animals and they would say yes they did and then I'd say that that was good cuz I was looking for someone to take an old dog like me home with them. Then I would tell them I was house broke and had all my shots and was good with kids. It worked so well , I aint sure how many kids I really got out there floatin around. An old dog like me aint got no fleas and looking for a good home or a place to spend the night.
