Who is " Howard"? And Who is "Round John Virgin"?

The first graders at a parocial school were doing Christmas activities and were assigned a project. They were asked to draw a picture using the words from "Silent Night." They were asked to draw all the characters and details of what they had learned from the song.

Each child brought his/her finished picture to the teacher for inspection. One little boy had drawn an extra character at the crib scene, a huge fat man. "Shawn," asked the teacher, pointing to the character, "Who is this?"

The boy said, "Why, that's round John Virgin." ('round yon virgin)

I don't know anything about "Howard." Maybe we will find out soon.
