Some of the best songs are collaborations between artists (eg. PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke "This Mess We're In", Stephen Malkmus and Justine Fox/Elastica "Unheard Music").

What are some other great collaborations?

speaking of P.J. Harvey -- the only ones I can think of at the top of my head which were outstanding were

“Henry Lee” P.J. Harvey and Nick Cave
“The Ship Song” Johnette Napolitano and Leonard Cohen

...if I think of more later, I will certainly plug them in. This seriously gives an idea for another good question -- "bad collaborations" you know -- the ones that have absolutely no chemistry...and you wonder "what were they thinking?" ... if you put out that question, I think I can come up with a longer list

While perhaps not the greatest collaboration of all time ever in the history of music, I'm still awfully fond of Sonic Youth & Cypress Hill's "I love you Mary Jane" off the Judgement Night soundtrack.

You left off the grand-daddy of them all. Al Jorgensen and Ian MacKaye.

Pailhead - Trait

The odd couple of underground music come together to produce one amazing EP. Can you believe this thing is gonna be 20 years old, un-freaking-believable. Yet, this still sounds as current today as it did back then.

I remember that video. Total Matt Pinfield flashback!
