before the error message, i cannot print black images but i can print color images. and now i cannot print anymore because of the message " unsupported cartridge". pls help me guys what to do..

I assume you're able to put the proper cartridges into their proper positions, so I'll bypass that possibility. Could it be that you touched the copper contact film on the side of the cartridges when you examined them? The oil and/or salt on your skin can bugger up those contacts and make the printer not function properly.

most probably you are not using original lexmark cartridge. try with a new set of black & col cartridge.if the prob is not resolved then contact your lexmark service centre.

Do you have the proper cartidges in the proper places? Are the little doors closed? You may need to buy new ink cartidges.
