I would like to find one that has clear water, and has a boardwalk to shop. I will be taking this trip next summer, but just want to get some ideas of nice places so I can start looking for a hotel and flight. Thanks!

The US has lots of coastline. Southern California and Hawaii has the best Pacific beaches. I've listed my favorite three on the Pacific side. Florida probably has the best Atlantic beaches. Have you decided which coast you would like visit?

Siesta Key or Lido Beach in Sarasota. Lots of shops most beautiful quartz sand, great weather. I live there
