No, life goes on. They should be remembered always. I remember exactly was I was doing when I saw the 2nd plane hit the towers, the shock, anger, and numbness I felt for weeks, I'll never forget. I don't think the people who died would want the world to stop, because the enemy would win. Move forward but always remember!
The men and women who serve in our armed forces do so of their own free will and know the risks of what they are doing. I cry tears everytime I hear another one of ours has died. I have family members serving now. There is no draft forcing them to serve their country. We should hang our heads and say a prayer everytime we lose someone. But life must go on.

I agree...I understand how sad it was when 9/11 happened & innocent people died...but as much as people hate to admit it they have to move on w/their lives. Living in moarn isn't living & it's not going to help you get over the tragity. Considering the length of this unnecessary "war", I think that more people have died in Iraq than there were deaths on 9/11, & they should be honored as well.

I don't like New York City, never have. But my heart broke when we were attacked. I have nothing but the utmost respect for every citizen of that city.
I support the war too. I think that the reasons being touted for us going in there were all wrong, but Saddam needed to be removed over 20 years ago. We can't just pull out now, or the entire region will be one giant mushroom cloud thanks to Iran and Pakistan.
I feel for every life taken over there. American military, civilian contractors, innocent bystanders, and to a small degree the enemy. BUT these sick S.O.B.'s who strap a bomb onto themselves and go blow up a market? Not one iota of mourning for those idiots. I just hope that we've prevented a few of them by killing some of the enemy.
It's far from over. To quote Todd Beamer, "Let's roll!"

In terms of honor, yes. But you've got to remember that militial officers chose their own career paths. They knew that death was a possibility, and they accepted that.
The 9/11 victims never asked for the North and South Towers to be hit by a Boeing 747.
