I have a school project... I removed the muscles already but it is still not presentable... I tried everything I can... I poured hot water etc... But the sad thing is, it is not yet as clean as those frog bones sold... as much as possible I don't want to resort on buying 'cause my professor told us to personally do the cleaning... What shall I do?

Boil it. If you want to speed it along, add some laundry detergent to the water while boiling it.

Frog Skeletons

Find a ant hill and place the remains next to it. Return in a week or so and you will have a cleaned skeleton. Let it sit in the sun to bleach out a bit. There are some other methods like maceration, but they involve the meat rotting off in water (it stinks horribly and is gross).

If you want the bones nicely bleached take a cup of water, a cup of hydrogen peroxide and three table spoons of vinegar. Mix it all up and place the cleaned skeleton in to the solution for one to two days.

If you want more info on maceration e-mail me.

Try boiling it in water. This will soften and loosen the remaining tissues. You can remove the remaining tissues after this.
The bones will be oily though after boiling but it will give a little shine to your skeleton.
