Its easier in metric
1inch = 2.54 cm
V=l*w*h=72*12*18*(2.54^3)
=254851.6 cm^3

1cm^3 = 1mL, 1000mL= 1L, 3.78L= 1gal
V=254.8 L
V= 67.42 gal

Computation (in gallons):
= (72 * 12 * 18) / 231
= 15,552 / 231
= 67 75/231

Answer: 67 75/231 gallons

A gallon is equivalent to 231 cubic inches. Divide the first guy's answer by 231 and you should have the number of gallons (roughly).

72 x 12 x 18 = 6' x 1' x 1.5' = 9 cubic feet
There are 7.48 gallons per cubic foot, so...
7.48 * 9 = 67.32 gallons
