Fresh herbs chopped and sprinkled over the dish before you serve it. Or consider adding fresh sauteed vegetables to the dish or just a side salad. Understandably, you want a break from cooking, but it CAN be cost effective to prepare meals, even for two. Maybe you don't see it as particularly time-effective. Slow cookers are fantastic, as are making soups, stews or chili. Even if you make a large-ish amount of these things, you can freeze them into portions so you have your own frozen prepared meal that you just have to thaw and heat. Good luck!
