Why didn't liberals battle with Clinton's "no warrant" executive order?

Where was the outrage over Clinton's executive order that actually called for warrantless searches of people and possessions. Clinton's EO went far further than what liberals are currently upset about.

Why are liberals currently really upset about monitoring just telephone calls of foreigners in America, while they ignore what Clinton did?

Pelosi was in office in the 1990's and she said nothing about Clinton's actions.

A ".gov" website can only be used by the government, and it can only be used by a government agency within the U.S..

The internet was created by the U.S. military.

Clinton used over 500,000 No Warrant wire taps. Much of that info was used to convict the guy for aiding Osama Bin Laden, last week. (Padila I think his name was)...
Don't believe me? Read the court transcrpts, as they are a matter of public record, and it was in the News, as a big part of the conviction.
I guess people only get upset, if a Republican uses the Powers of the President.

I completely agree with you.

I also opposed NAFTA and the WTO.

This forum didn't exist then I don't think. If it did I didn't have a computer until 2001.

Many many Democrats were opposed to Bill Clinton!!

There was not many outlets to protest and share info though!!

I have been a lifelong liberal Democrat.

Nearly all Democrat and Republican administrations have been part of the One World Government movement!!

I do have a problem with that. I have a problem any time anybody in the government overreaches the constitution. I don't care if they're democrat or republican. Why do you assume "liberals" don't care.

See, what I do is called thinking for myself. Rather than have a political party or a newspaper or a talk show host tell me what to think, I actually think. You should try it.

Be more specific.
Dates, cases, people.
Otherwise, you're just shooting the breeze.
On the other hand, Bush's transgression were unearthed by the media and could not be denied. Plus, he tried to keep those secret, so double abuse of power.

Yes - It says the Attorney General is allowed. None of that Gestapo style orders that came right from the offices of GWB. That source also does not provide for President Clinton to keep indefinite secrecy about those activities.

Clinton was and is a conservative, just not a neocon. And nobody listened, liberal or conservative while this was going on. Nice try.

Your lying about President Clinton and you should be ashamed.
George Bush is the person responsible for obscuring the Constitution and fabricating laws to suit his peculiar agenda.; spying on United States citizens, tortureing prisoners of war and selling out the american people to corporate interests simply to increase their wealth.
Thanks

You don't need to give sources for this as all they have to do is look it up but you can be sure they won't! I'm not sure if I have it right but I don't think he did it during any war time either!! It's not hard to figure out what he was up to but regardless they won't make him own up to anything. Just why is that?

This is why I hate politicians. Assuming what you say is true, if I had known about it I would have been pissed off. Likewise, I do know about Bush's and I am pissed off. Maybe it's the liberal media conspiracy, maybe it's the context of the situation, maybe it's the number, I don't know but I never heard about it.
