Look at pictures of them online, then decide. Discus come in lots of colors and are also pretty expensive fish, that require a lot of care.

I had 2 discus once. The female was white. I don't have any idea if the color makes a difference in gender. I know which the female was because she laid eggs.

They could actually be Discus.
