I read that there is suppose to be a meteorite shower [or something similar] tonight [August 31] or early tomorrow morning [September 1]. This particular shower only happens every 2,000 years or so. Please tell me more about it, do you have links for information? Also when is a good time to look for it in the sky in central California? I really want to see it [since I probably won't be around on two thousand years]. Please answer soon and thanks.

It's Comet Kless. Get outside about 4 AM Pacific time on September 1st. Comet Kless only makes one orbit around the sun every 2,000 years and Earth will be moving through the tail at that time.

google it, it seems though that it is unlikely that you will see any meteorites because it is such an old pack of debris (2000 yrs old)
